Business Development

In this team we develop the Vectura business by working with a range of business partners around the world.  Using our business development skills and our technical expertise, we sell Vectura’s comprehensive development services to both small biotechs and major multinational pharma companies. 

Join this small team and you could be looking for new opportunities to sell and promote our services, negotiate agreements and help to manage established agreements. 

It’s about working with different parts of Vectura, managing relationships with a wide range of customers and potential customers, and using your commercial knowledge to grow the business. Whatever your role, you’ll be exposed to every area of the process and enjoy a huge variety of work, with the scope to get decisions made quickly  and work with our partners to develop products that help our customers to improve patients’ lives.

Business Development Specialists

Whether we’re negotiating with small biotech firms or large pharma companies around the world, we are at the commercial sharp end of Vectura.

This means we not only call on technical expertise from different teams across the business, but we also have regular contact with the executive team, up to the CEO.

Join us and you could be working with lawyers to draft agreements or getting technical expertise from the Pharmaceutical Development, Device Development, or Regulatory teams. It can be a challenging work, so you’ll need to combine commercial acumen and scientific knowledge with the ability to develop strong working relationships. In return, you’ll enjoy a wide variety of tasks and the scope to manage the entire business development process.

What I enjoy most about my role is that I have the opportunity to see the whole business development process, from the initial contact through to completing an agreement. There’s a wide variety of work and you’re exposed to everything across the company.

Given my background as a PhD Pharmacist, it’s great to be with a technology and science-led company that works with partners to bring new medicines to the market that improve peoples’ lives.
