As a Senior Quality Engineer you’ll join an expanding team in a highly-varied role, supporting the development of medical devices

The work our Quality Engineering team does is crucial to ensuring our products are manufactured in accordance to applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Vectura and customer requirements.

Your role

Your role will support the development of a range of smart inhalation devices through the full process from initial concept to manufacturing, including the supply chain. You’ll work closely with our device design engineers and suppliers to ensure all products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, as well as the needs of our customers and partners.

You will responsible for assessing supplier performance globally. You will engage with CMOs across Vectura’s supply chain, to support audits, conduct investigations and identify process improvements.

Using your knowledge of quality engineering tools such as APQP, SPC and SCAR, you'll be supporting our supply chain and device industrialization teams to ensure devices are manufactured to all relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

You'll work closely with the production line to identify production trends, carry out audits and recommend quality standard updates. This will include overseeing incoming materials, reducing scrap and improving supplier quality, as well as maintaining our quality systems and supporting ongoing ISO certification.

What you need

You’ll have a strong Quality and process validation background, with a good level of exposure to medical devices.

You will have demonstrable experience of conducting audits, both internally and externally, with the ability to evaluate data and identify route causes.

You have a firm understanding of all aspects of the phases of DMAIC, being a minimum of Green Belt. Black Belt is desirable.

Any exposure to inhaled devices or working with CMOs would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.
