As our Associate Director for Alliance Management, you will have a key role in supporting and managing key risk-sharing partnerships delivering some of our most significant projects.

About the role

Vectura has a strong reputation for based on our formulation and device development expertise and technical delivery. This has provided the basis for us to form long term collaborations with a range of partner organisations.

Due to a growing scope of our current projects, and the potential for additional relationships, we need to build our capabilities. That is where you come in.

You will work with stakeholders at all levels of seniority within our business and collaborate closely with the Alliance teams of our partners, to build strong, risk-sharing partnerships.

Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to represent our needs and ensure productive relationships with existing and new alliance partners
Build relationships to achieve the best outcomes for both partners including facilitate alignment and prevent dispute escalation
Support the operation of key governance activities such as joint steering committees
Provide business direction and support to the project teams
Monitor and manage existing contractual obligations to ensure compliance, identify, and mitigate risk.
Support delivery of specific Vectura objectives and those agreed upon jointly with our partners
Provide support to, and where appropriate, lead, contractual negotiations and changes

About you

You will come from a technical or perhaps business / analytical pharmaceutical background and ideally have some project/programme management experience.

Ideally, you will be familiar with the multi-functional nature of product development and have experience working with cross-functional inter-company teams. Previous exposure to development contracts and licenses and working closely with legal and IP (Intellectual Property) functions would a great advantage.

Communication is key for this role. You should be confident and credible in diplomatically developing solutions to problems and “stepping into the middle” to facilitate acceptable outcomes.

Previous inhaled medicine development experience would be very useful, but not essential.
